Personal Development and Cultural Capital

We make links with the P.E and Music hubs which opens up a wide range of additional opportunities for the children to extend their personal interests and increase their cultural capital.  These include but are not limited to: ballet lessons, football clubs and piano lessons.

Each year, the school choir looks forward to taking part in the ‘One Voice’ singing event.  This is an event where children from schools across the Sheffield South East Learning Partnership can come together to sing a selection of communal songs.

Sheffield has a growing cultural reputation and is home to the largest theatre complex outside London.   From sketching the array of lush plants in the Winter Gardens and regularly visiting the Millenium and Graves Art galleries to enjoying watching theatrical productions in the city centre, we embrace the cultural vibrancy and creative capabilities which our city has to offer. The pinnacle of the children's drama lessons is the annual dramatic performance which the Y6 children stage at the Montgomery Theatre.
